Ok, so despite saying I was going to wait...we ended up picking up an eee pc today. Bestbuy had a pretty good deal on a 1000 model, and we cashed in our spare change jar at the bank, which covered about 80% of the cost. The rest was from the giftcard my brother gave us for Xmas...so yeah, it was like getting it for free...

I agreed to share it with hubby, which I don't have a problem with.

Already put firefox on it, now loading virus software, next OpenOffice and Trillian
