I almost had the willpower to wait until all four parts of this were posted, but I gave in last night and read the first three so thank god you posted the last one so soon after. XD
I really absolutely adore this 'verse, and really feel like with this part you gave us a great sense of who Jensen and Jeff are, both inside and outside of their relationship. And thank you for that little glimpse of Jared, too, which was a delight. The whole world and backstory you've created is just great.
Thank you! I'm really glad you're enjoying the 'verse.
I'm just trying to give little glimpses of Jeff and Jensen so far, because I'm planning more stories, some in the past and of course, more in the future. I'm rather fond of this Jared too, so expect to see more of him, eventually!
I'll get more into the Harris incident in a future story in the universe. Part of the reason he's still a lt. may be a result of that, but the main part of the reason is that promotion is based on being in command situations, and since Jensen has worked alone so much of his career, he hasn't been in many situations where he has had command over others. He is long overdue for a promotion, however:)
Both Jeff and Jensen have grown, but they both still have more to learn, about each other and themselves. I have to leave something for the next story! ;)
And yep, there's definitely more coming. There's the actual mission afterwards, and then some stories planned that go back into the pasts of both boys.

No one knew he was behind the Harris Factory disaster, and Jensen liked to keep it that way.
Is that why he's still a lieutenant instead of a captain?
