This is really interesting. I'm kind of fascinated by the idea of Jensen being wired in this very specific way and being farmed out to the Sex Corps as a consequence. I'm really interested to see where you go with this.
Thank you! I sorta had this idea about Jensen being a "true" submissive, and portraying him as being strong, capable and in search of a master worthy of his submission. And then I needed plot and to play with the ideas of consent and slavery. We'll see how far I can go with this!
*nodsnods* And I think that's something that's missed out on a lot in D/s stories. I think a lot of people can't conceive of or can't effectively write a strong sub; it's always top=strong/bottom=weak. And...it's not always like that. And it doesn't HAVE to be like that. And I don't like the implied pejorative that it's bad to be the bottom. So I'm really interested to see where you go here. And how. :D
Yes! I have been reading waaaaay too many stories recently where either the sub has all the strength of tea from a thrice brewed teabag or where the author has made the sub whiny or stubborn or intransigent rather than actually, you know, strong. And I don't think that those authors get that the biggest payoff in consensual powerplay is the willing surrender of strength to strength. (It can also be a huge payoff in less consensual kinds of powerfic but is less critical there.)
Oh well I suspect my luck in generally finding well written D/s fanfic is about the same finding well written slavefic with with quietly competent slaves and three dimensional characters (my other current fanfic quest.)
I like your comment here about Jensen being in search of a worthy master -- what I like about your story is that he needs to train JDM to BE that master -- I think it's clear that JDM is a worthy trainee!! such an interesting D/s tangle! -- I really like how when JDM actually puts Jensen into the submissive position, makes him open his eyes, etc, it makes Jensen kind of shy -- because Jensen only Wants to submit to someone who is really a Master. Very nice.
It takes a lot of dedication, strength and creativity to really Dominate someone with a talent for submission. It's about giving and giving on both sides -- there's no passivity involved!
