Naia-Athena is now 10 1/2-months old. She's a really cool baby and she's quite attached to me, which I obviously love, but she also has an independent streak, which I also love. However, she has no desire to become mobile by crawling or scooting. She'll sit in the same spot till she gets bored, then she yells for someone to come get her. If a toy rolls out of her reach, she looks at it, shrugs, then finds something else she can do "under the circumstances".

She is a noisemaker at daycare and is constantly babbling so maybe she's concentrating her focus on that. She says mama-mama-ma and dada-dada-da all the time but she is not using it to address us specifically. She has one front emerging tooth on the bottom but we see several "nuggins'" peeking out from her gums so it should not be too long now when the rest will come in. Which is a truly trying process to watch her go through because you cannot really help her as much with the pain.
