While cooling down after my very hot sinus clearing shower, I've decided to leave a comment about sexual harassment for the masses.
In the last month or so I've discovered what sexual harassment in the work place is. I'd never really experienced it before. When I worked at Edo I had a problem with a guy...but, I wouldn't really call that sexual harassment. However, now, I've experienced exactly what your bosses tell you about when you start a job. When they say, "If someone says or does THIS, tell us right away", is what I'm talking about. It's weird when it actually happens though. I'm surprised and kind of disappointed with myself at how I acted...or my lack of action I should say. When Matt obviously and blatantly stepped over the line I just didn't respond when I should have told him to stop. It was mostly through text messages though. Which was kind of an odd media, so by the time I actually saw him I just ignored him and avoided him as much as possible. I just stayed uncomfortable at work whenever he was there and had to put up with him rubbing my neck and what not. With the way my mind works I knew if I did approach him it would probably be by way of my fist. Which wouldn't have gone over well, and I didn't want to tell my managers because I didn't want to make it some big work thing. I got lucky though and he apparently flipped his shit last night at work, quit his job, and had a break down in the parkinglot which involved him punching the headlights out of his car and destroying his phone and what not. I was told that he wasn't welcome to come back because of what happened. I'm going to tell Jason or Cassey tomorrow, just in case he tries to come back. Lesson learned though! When even your boss steps over the line you tell them to step the fuck back on the other side of that line.
Over the past week I've been suffering from a sinus infection from hell. It's been rough. And I have to work a double tomorrow. I'm going to ask Jason if I can get first cut at lunch or just go home and work the dinner shift. We don't make much money at lunch, it's very slow. And I'm very tired, I've slept most of the past three days. I actually went to class yesterday, I only did hand work because of my weakness/sickness. That worked out nicely because I brought Owie Kitten to class for the first time and I helped explain things to her and what not.
More to come later I suppose, when I'm not so tired.
