Well, no JM for me today. The friend I was supposed to go with flaked out on me (okay, she got sick, which I totally don't blame her for... except it would've been nice if she'd called me before I took the 3 hour bus ride to get here, since now I'm stuck at my parents' house while my parents aren't even here - they're at the shore - when I could've just stayed home), and I figured it wouldn't be any fun to go by myself. It wasn't that great of an event anyway, compared to other cons he's done, so probably better that I saved my money (and good thing we didn't buy any tickets in advance).
But on the bright side, I won awards at
Rogue Poet! Pretty nifty, that. I don't even have to write stuff, and I'm still getting awards. :) "He Will Come For Me" won Best Short (that one still surprises me, since it's so meta-ficcy it doesn't seem like the award-winning type) and "Closure" won Best Plot, both Reader's Choice Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted for me, and congrats to the other winners! Banners under the cut.
