livejournal is completely frelling broken, isn't it? it won't load at ALL for me. fantastic. watch it not post either.
so yesterday a blind man told me my perfume was lovely. heh.
also saw Flags of our Fathers, which i found to be trite, safe and stupid. also really patronizing and patriotic. funny how those two things go hand in hand. i do like Ryan Phillippe, tho, in almost everything he's ever done, and he was my favorite part of this as well. i also forgot how amaxingly judgemental people can be when you're a woman going to the movies alone and you're not, like...60. there were plenty of guys obviously there alone, but i was the only one the old couple and the college boys around me whispered anything about. what the FRILLY HECK, people? somehow, somewhere, this is all the fault of reality TV.
today is
haplo184's 22nd birthday! woot! happy birthday, little step-brother!
i still haven't watched the first episode of The OC's 4th season. i'm thinking i may just...never. i mean, once you start down that road, no good can come of it, right? yeah. we are also watching Standoff, which would actually just be an enjoyable cop drama-type thing if the entire premise of AND THEY'RE DATING wasn't being shoved awkwardly down our throats every 10 minutes.
Men In Trees, however, gets more and more reproachable by the minute and i'm pretty much only watching it for Patrick. or when i need to do dishes. or clean the house. it's a notch above the BBC's Robin Hood, which is also getting worse and worse as time marches on (which is saying something, really, seeing as how godawful it was when it started).
still <3<3<3HEART Heroes, even tho i've only seen the first three episodes. what a freaking awesome and rad show! i am having so much fun with wherever the heck it's going :)
