I started up paleo and have lost eight pounds, which I needed to lose. I've just been very bored with the palette of foods; I like Asian food and it has a lot of noodles and rice.

Also, minimalist running saved my knee! I'm in Newton Sports Lady Isaacs right now but planning to give Vibram Fivefingers a go. Problem is, I can't do PT runs in those, so I need a more conventional shoe for PT uniform. I've had trail runners recommended.

Congrats on the weight loss and the knee progress!
When I first heard about Paleo around 10 years ago, I didn't have that much variety of veggies in my diet, so I put it off. Today, I'm trying new fruits and veggies, and new ways of preparing them. I think this is the reason that there are several Paleo diet books out there. I don't yet have VFF, and even when I eventually have them, I'll still have some minimalist shoes for places that require them.

There's a lot to be learned from family-historic diets too. Our internal biome can handle some things better than others... lactose tolerance for instance being a more visible example.
But I want to learn more about this, as I try to bring more exercise into my life.

Good health to you all!
