Their argument and come-backs and the tension, damn, they are incredible!

It is true that Crowley is as witty and wicked as they come, and Cas has grown callous and quick to argue, in a way. It makes for excellent discussion and dangerous negotiations between them.

I highly approve of that and your portrayal of it *hums*

And, incidentally, I remember being quite intrigued by the whole 'kitten' and 'whore' thing that canon SPN had going between these two. Crowley does come off as deviously flirty with almost everyone, but never quite as insulting as it was with Castiel. Hmm, food for thought, I guess.

My own headcanon tells me those weren't Crowley's human remains that Castiel torched. The whole demon-combustion was staged, and that would imply a preconceived plan with both parties' knowledge involved.

Your version is quite cruel and interesting. In a good way, of course. No wonder Crowley grows so mistrusting and has no qualms in turning sides so readily then. Poor fella, he was just killing creatures by the dozen and yanking on your leash, Castiel, why did you react so badly without fair warning?

*rants some more* Okay, I'm clearly procrastinating here. Back to my damn paper now.

Thanks for sharing! Seconds?

Yeah, I figure most people have a headcanon about how it happened, but the canon explanation was so vague and non-committal. I kind of just wanted to use it as an excuse to play around with the dynamics of this relationship, and to get back to the no-nonsense Castiel characterization that I do so enjoy. Since s6, some people have written him as this kind of "wilting flower," so torn over his actions/jeopardizing his relationships with the Winchesters that he just sort of ambles along with whatever Crowley says/does. I, uh, seriously don't see it that way, haha.

Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate your two-cents, :)
