Let's try something new

Here's attempting to regularly post on this once again... I'm going to try to link it up to my facebook, we'll see how this works. I mean, the point that I have it is to keep in touch, however, I find myself posting mundane crap (amidst the other crap that gets posted) rather than using it for the original intended reason... Let's see how long this lasts... I think that I'm also going to move in a direction of posting where I am at musically in life. As many know, I love music, I love talking about music with other people, but am often left with few people do discuss and share music with, generally due to other friends having other interests, so we'll see. I've also been contemplating blogging w/ blogspot or blogger or something. Why? Primarily because people laugh at me when I tell them that I still use livejournal (I guess it's very early 2000s???), we'll see.

So here's to attempting to write again. I tend to find myself wanting to write when I'm amidst change. I'm up in the bay area again (permanently this time, I think). There is an odd mix of feelings that I have being back. Of course I'm excited to be reunited with the area that I love as well as my soon to be wife, however, there's this shroud of sad nostalgia that I weave in and out of feeling. It's different this time, for one, Siouxsie, my old roommate, who is like a sister to me and was a big part of my life while living up here is not here, I guess that feels a little strange. Lacking also is all of the hope and ambition that I had when I first moved up here in 2006. I am now coming up here borderline broke and searching for a job in a market that is far from promising. All in all however, it feels good to be back. Today was my first real day stepping out of the house, going to Downtown Berkeley and I must say that damn if feels good to be back.

Tonight Brooke and I are going to watch the fireworks in SF. Never done it before, usually because of fog, but it's been clear all day, we'll hope it remains such!
