Fun day...!
Got some new headphones for Ye Olde iPodde; the ones I had were good speakers but very uncomfortable. Found me a Best Buy and got the Sony style that I've always dug like a backhoe.
Then went swimming after lunch and loved it. Washed a large portion of the blue dye out--I'll have to re-do that when I get home--but it was worth it! I miss swimming, big time; don't get to do nearly enough of it in Seattle.
Starting to notice tan lines, about which I'm thoroughly pleased. :)
Found a really amusingly-named hotel here:
"Casa Grande" means "Big House" in Spanish...which, of course, is also slang for prison. Heh. this amuses me.
Also, while I was one the beach, I saw something I wasn't expecting:
Holy Muslim Headscarf, Batman! At the freakin' beach! Heh. I can't believe I never thought to wonder how Muslim women go swimming before; never did see this girl go in while I was there, so I d'know...but wow. Wasn't expecting THAT one.
I gots me other pictures, but they'll keep till I get back to Seattle; mostly just pics of the boardwalk and palm trees, nothing that interesting. But still...having a pretty rockin' day so far.
...with one exception: this girl I barely knew died. She was one of the participants in the TV show they shot at my dojo, the MTV thing last year. Apparently she had a heart condition that turned into an aneurysm yesterday, and it killed her. She was 17.

But, like I said, I barely knew her; she was a nice girl, I remember that much. Still, s'weird, put a slight crimp in my enjoyment of the day. Ah, well...not letting it get me down; I'm here to recharge and feel better, neh?
