I love this song. I was introduced to it by She Who Must Not Be Named; it was kind of our song. I've taken it back, so to speak; I can dig it for itself rather than what it meant to us...
Now, as great as the original Yaz (or Yazoo) version is--and it is--sometimes you find a cover of a song that you dig quite a bit, too...and this version is pretty rad:
Um...ignore the video; this was just a convenient way of putting the song out there to be heard.
Anyway, I'm of two minds about electronic music--I dig it, but only certain styles of it--and this is one of the kinds of really like. This, to me, feels kinna like Men Without Hats meets Lush, maybe...with, obviously, the Yaz influence.
Anyway, just sharing, cuz I think it's awesome. I only found this horrible hip-hop version of it by this apparently German band (though they sing in English and almost sound Hispanic in a weird way)...fortunately, I'm more amused than offended. ;)
