Okay, wow.
I just completed a shot for episode #04 of Rational Station; it looks...really good.
This will be the first episode where Sandra--the main character; d'know if I've ever mentioned that she has a name--will be interacting with other people. I basically just ganked a few models from Kanira Baxter and stuck 'em in RA cuz I didn't wanna model something new...
Well, there'z this one shot where she hands Howie off to an unsuspecting and unprepared bystander; Sandra needs both her hands free to make a holographic demonstration of something (yes, I'm finally doing a hologram thing; been planning that for ages and am only now getting 'round to it) and so she just casually thumps Howie against a guy's chest as he's walking past to make him hold onto the fluffy guy.
I'm not really describing the moment very well and you'd probably have to see it, but it so totally works. The shot was a pain in the ass--any shot where a character has to hand an object to another character is a pain in the ass--but it looks phenomenal. The guy has this, "What the...?" moment and then stays to watch Sandra do her demonstration...it's pretty nifty, I think.
Anyway, yeah...I haven't been very productive today; I'm still a bit sleepy from not having slept well all damn week. BUT, I think I'm getting back on track. So...yeah...
