I'd never animated a slither before; I think it looks pretty good. The arm movements are kinna stiff, actually, but I'm sure I can fix that.
Need more background aliens. At least two or three others to make the place look populated enough. Would like to get a few non-humanoids in there; will probably break out some of my various sci-fi art books for inspiration on that front. Thing is, it's FAR too easy to just take an Earthling animal and anthropomorphize it a little, call THAT an alien...I'd like to make something TRULY alien, if I can.
The biggest problem with THAT, however, is subsequently rigging it with bones for movement; 3DS MAX only comes with a Biped object, so having a non-humanoid means making your own skeletal structure, futzing about with IK...it's a royal pain in the patoot...
