I looked 'em up; a "kidult" is distinct from having "Peter Pan Syndrome", in that a kidult has more of the sense-of-wonder, fun-loving side of being a kid, while Peter Pan Syndrome is actually more of the petulant, obnoxious, foot-stomping, tantrumy side of being a kid.
You've often heard me say that I don't ever want to grow up, and this is what I mean; I would HATE to lose that childlike side of me. And growing up does kill it for people...I look at, say, the movies made by people like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, and their styles change dramatically after they have children; it's hard to explain because it's a very visceral thing, but they lose that sense-of-wonder quality after they've spawned. I think it's because, as parents, they have to be the adults now and that changes many people.
