So I just finished the Day 3 workouts for P90X.
The first day was called "Core Synergistics" and was a lot of resistance stuff mainly with some yoga and plyometrics. I toughed my way through it though, knowing that subsequent days would get easier. The next morning I woke up sore in muscles I forgot I had. It was actually a good sort of pain, cause I knew I pushed myself hard. Last night I did the Cardio X workout which was, well, cardio. There were a bunch o new exercises that I had not done before, mixed in with more yoga, plyometrics and some Kenpo. It definitely got the heart rate up and I was sweating more than normal cardio workouts.
Woke up this morning sore in different spots. Tonight I did the Ab Ripper and Shoulder/Arm workouts. My abs are burning and I had to stop about 3/4 into the shoulder/arm workout because I could barely lift my arms at all. I think my muscles are as torn down as I can get them right now. I still got an hour workoout in, as the abs program was 15 minutes and the shoulder/arm was 60 of which I did 45. Tomorrow is a one hour yoga day, which is good as it will give my muscles a day to rebuild before the next workout of Legs/Back and Ab-ripper again.
I am really looking at a lifestyle change. I think the lemonade diet that I went through a couple weeks back really made me realize how good i CAN feel if I work at it. I've worked on eating more healthy and making better choices. I've now had consistent exercise for 3 days with 87 more to go (minus a few break days in the plan. The exercises in P90X make you FEEL that they are working, and in new and different muscles as well as the standard ones.
