New Computer

Well, it was ages since I wrote, and I think last time I wrote it was probably random nonsense in Spanish anyway, but yeah.

Anyway, I thought I should update now anyway. Because I like statistics, and I have statistics for you. <3

I've got a new computer (actually I theoretically got it for my birthday last year... but yeah =P) and now I have to move all my crap away from the old computer, Artemis. This means I've spent the past two or three hours organizing my stuff and shoving it all into a folder called "spara", meaning save in Swedish. Folder turns out to be 84GB large.

"Holy crap", says I, for I have no idea how to move that from Artemis (old computer) to Diana (new computer). I have some backup space assigned to me on Dad's backup unit, but that's only 20 GB. Somehow I find it hard to cram 84GB into an area that only fits one fourth... =P

So after I look at that number, I wonder what the hell is taking up so much space. This is the conclusion I came to:

+ music: 34GB - of which 5 GB is Eurovision, and 5GB is Trance Voices, which I don't even like
+ shows/movies: 29GB - Digi Charat, Red Dwarf, Pizzacats, Black Adder, Idiocracy, The Wedding Singer, Star Wars 3 (backstroke of the west)
+ photos: 16GB - 13GB is from Brian and our vacations =P
+ other crap: 5GB - programs, games, comic, images, shcreenshots, recordings, logs, saved settings, and random crap

This makes 84GB. Goddamn, media takes a lot of space. =P "Other crap" only got to be 5GB. All my pictures I've spent so long making, all the comics, all my documents (they only got to be 100MB!), everything that I've made, and some other random stuff too, takes up less than 6% ... =P Oh well. Guess that means it's easy to keep on the backup unit, since it doesn't exceed 20 GB. <3
