Room-painting, site re-designing and random art.

Ok, so. Yesterday was a very tiring day. I got up around noon having gotten about 8 hours of sleep, and I was death tired still. I should get started on painting Lina's room pretty much at once but instead I took breakfast with me to my bed and reas for a while, upon which I took a nap until 1:30pm I guess. After the afternoon snack though me and Lina got started on painting, and after a few hours--say 4, maybe---we were done. We first covered all the walls in the light white-yellow paint once, but the old purple still shone through a bit. We then added another layer, and it started to look good. Dad then came up and told us that we should finish off the paint--and we had half a can (we had two cans to begin with) left. So we happily covered the walls in what was left and walked around covering up imaginary purple spots for half an hour more and then we were done. Today they also bought a new floor for that room, since the floor in there is creepy. o.O;

I then didn't begin the comic until too late, and I used the pen tool instead of the ink tool, which I thought would be easier... but tourned out the opposite. So I didn't even finish the comic until today.

Most of what was hard yesterday though was because I decided NOW was the time to finally re-design the comic's site! I had a layout in mind and I had Lena make it--and it was haaaaaaaard. It's still a bit hacky in IE and some screen resolutions, but not too much I'm hoping. Hopefully we can fix it without too much trouble.

Lena didn't like it at all. One bit. Etc etc. Her sense of what looks good and is simple and practical is pretty much the opposite of mine. T_T Whyyyyy... why couldn't it have been something unimportants, like, music taste? We could've just ignored that in each other. But when trying to create something together and having totally different opinions and both being really really stubborn, it just doesn't work that well... ^_^;; I think she doesn't hate it as much anymore though, hopefully. Izzy crashed down on me as well and said it was ugly, and after Lena said ufo said he didn't really like it either, I felt all, do I really have that bad taste? Should I just let Lena decide what the site should look like because everyone will think what I do is ugly anyway?

But I think it's pretty, in mozilla in my resolution, and I will try to fix it up as best I can for other people, because currently in IE there's a scrollbar on the linkbar. *shifty eyes* And then we argued over the background of the site, too, but if the linkbar works, then I think Lena and I can compromise better on that one. It just felt really, really bad to argue with Lena like that. ^_^;;

Anyway, despite the comic being not-so-good (not bad, just...) yesterday I did some pretty decent random drawings, and I made more today, and I've been playing around with photoshop, rather than in gimp. Photoshop lets me choose colors off a palette (I missed that in gimp...) and I think I'm getting the hang of making Karla's skin the right color, maybe.

An avatar I made for Karl (way more fun to draw him in-character.. =P) and then the avatar I made for me. I always draw things twice as big as I want them, for avatars and comics etc, because when you downsize it all the little flaws disappear. ^_^;;

A little picture of Zelphie as a kid, that I drew because I hadn't drawn Zelphie for a while and felt like she was neglected.

I'm an evil bunny!
