Is anyone reading The Petulant Poetess archive?

I think there is a Facebook page or something I should look for, but after the long delay between the site going down and being made ready for relaunch I was looking forward to having access again, but I am having problems. Is it just me?

I know some had problems with TPP, as did I at times, but it was a readable HPfanfic/Ofic archive that was ( Read more... )

I just checked and I seem to have no problems in getting a visible and working site. As long as I use: http://www.thepetulantpoetess.com/ without anything further after the slash it works fine. However, I can't log in. My safety settings list it as an unsafe site, so I'm unable to log in unless I lower my safety protocol for them.

Funny you should mention this. I hadn't checked the site for awhile but popped over there the other day and had the exact same problem. Huge font, only displaying only a few huge letters at a time. I was somehow able to log in and get into my settings. I changed the font but I still had problems searching so I gave up. After reading your post I tried to log in today, I can still get in but now the font is minuscule and now I can't seem to find the setting button anywhere to change it.

I know they are trying hard to save the site and I appreciate that, but this new set up is not in any way user friendly, in fact I'm sorry to say I find it unusable. I can get into the site, but no matter what info I put into the advanced search feature it finds no results. The only fics I can access are the dozen that are under recent stories and the font is so tiny now (I'm sure because I changed to the smallest font the other day to overcome the huge font then) that I couldn't read them if I wanted to. I'm very sad because TPP was a great archive ( ... )

Yes, it is indeed Firefox that prevented me from logging in. I'll give Google a try as well, thanks!

Thanks. I suppose I'll have to download Google, or borrow my daughter's laptop, if I' to see if that is a better option.

I'm not exactly complainig, I know there's a lot going on to save TPP, but it is a bit worrisome - I managed to get my stuff copied from OWL before it died, and I really ought to do the same now (there were some really nice and encouraging omments I'd like to keep, too). My bad, I ought to have some kind of schedule to do that if I keep it up. *shuffles sideways off set, in the direction of the Sycophant Hex archives*

Thanks. I'm hoping to get in and yoink things via the Edit option, so I don't have to go over them all for html coding, so if I can tke a rain check for now?

For sure. I hope you can get in. I do recall when they first reopened I had to contact them to login because they are using emails for usernames now so mine had to change.

Since I was able to login properly now I'm happy that I can access the site better, but I still feel like the old format was much easier to navigate. But I'll take what I can get.
