there's no such thing as free

you know what i find daft? people on myspace *generally, obviously* who don't have their music available for download. i was looking at the acidtone myspace *not even all that sure why, maybe i thought they'd improve since last time i heard them* and admittedly they have, either that or my tastes have become a bit broader, but i didn't want to slap them like i did last time. anyways, i do not see the point of them having their music as streaming audio only. i would much rather be able to download it as, not only is it easier to distribute this way, one can listen to it on their respective mp3/mini-disc/cd/casette players and not have to worry about being connected to the net. plus, for scrobbling purposes it's nice to have the files.
i know it's all about copyright and making money from their shit, i remember their cds were in gramophone for extortionate prices considering they're a local band of children.
meh, i know i'm outside the "biz" so i can't comment properly, but fuck sake, freedom of music should be mandatory for small groups, the best publicity is always free. saying that, i'm still listening to them aren't i? lol, the dude sounds like fred durst sometimes, which is weird, but they're not that bad. remind me of mudvayne a lot.

in other news, i failed my first psych report of the semester. fuckin hell. methinks i really need to pull up my socks.
