Hiiro no Kakera first game review

Yeah, it took me a lot of time but I ended it!!!! I made a short review for hiiro no kakera and i posted it at hiiro_no_kakera a few weeks ago. Thanks to solitair who corrected me some spelling and grammar mistakes today i could end it. Of course, the spanish version will came on Saturday loool.
My idea was to make this review without spoilers and quite simple. Hiiro it's not a new game so many people know the storyline and the characters personal story. this is a short summary for those who DON'T KNOW Hiiro no Kakera series and, maybe, are thinking: "What the hell is that game XD?" hahahaha.
I repeat, it's not a completely one, not character summary, chap summary, game playing summary, etc. Only a general view of the story and the game.

Hiiro no Kakera is one of the first games released by Idea Factoy under the type know as Visual Novel (not animation, just marvelous images, seiyu voices and text). It’s important to make note that as one of the first games of this genre has quite Japanese text, which means, a lot of kanji and few hiragana. So it’s difficult to go on reading the story if you don’t know Japanese.
This visual novel is under the subgenre of otome (maiden) games. It's a simdate game for girls, where the main character is a girl who has to, beside the main plot of the story; develop a romantic relation with a boy.
The dynamic part of this game is when you have to make a decision; the screen stop at “two options” (written Japanese, better said, kanji). This is not something often. It is a visual novel, divided into eight chapters. Each one has around five decisions. Different decisions will change what happens in the story and who boy you end up with. Part of the entertainment in this type of game is being able to develop a romantic relationship with one of the male characters. There are two types of endings for each character: a good and a bad ending. In addition to this, there are six characters that the protagonist can end up with.
Hiiro no Kakera protagonist is called Tamaki, a young girl who get involve in a strange, incredible and dangerous situation when she went to stay in her grandmother shine for a few weeks. It begins when she arrives this mountain town where her grandmother lives and got frightened by an abnormal creature. She runs and gets lost in the woods. There more abnormal and, this time, hostile creatures appear and attack her. A boy saves her and tells her he was sent by her grandmother to pick her up. She pretty nervous asks him a lot of questions and ends annoying him. He tells her irritatedly that he cannot answer because he doesn't know what is going on either. Finally, he asks her name and introduces himself as Onizaki Takuma.
At the shrine, she meets her grandmother and her servant, a young girl called Mitsuru and a guy called Oumi Suguru, a mature professor of the school who seems to be involved in that too. After the introductions, her grandmother begins to explain everything to her and, that explanation involucres and old legend. Shortly, she tells her that she is the reincarnation of Tamayori Hime, a priestess who fought hundreds of years ago against a demon together with her guardians and defeated him. As her reincarnation she is the objective on a group called Logos who are trying to break the seal of Onikirimaru, the demon sword. Their true aim is unknown yet, but seems to be a fact that they’ll want to kill her in order to achieve it.
Due to her awakening powers she can see magic creatures, which also explains what she had seen on the wood. Takuma and Suguru who, are as surprised with the story as her, are told by Tamaki’s grandmother to be one of those five guardians and as ones, they must protect her whatever the cost. They, like her, don’t understand anything about it. This guardian stuff is something completely new. Nevertheless, it is true. Strange thing has begun to happen in the town and they have witnessed that. Besides, there’re some sort of strange powers awakening in them.
After that first day she is always accompanied by one of them for protection. The first one who takes this job is Takuma, who is a student too and goes with her to the school. In the break time introduce her casually, to one of his friends at the school roof who, is also one of her guardians. This guy is called Atori Mahiro and doesn’t give a good impression because he tries to flirt with her. Then, she meets Komura Yuichi on the library, quite the opposite, quiet and calm guy. In the next days she meets the fourth guardian, a boy named Inukai Shinji who catches her to fall when she was running on the corridor. He is the youngest guardian with the exception of Suguru, all of them have similar age to her and go to the same school.Advanced the story, you’ll be able to meet with the last guardian, Kutani Ryou, who salves Tamaki from monsters.
The story progress meanwhile you figure out the mystery around and try to solve it and at the same time that you try to stop these foes who try to break the five seals with the help of your guardians. Eventually, you’ll be getting on more with one of them than with the others. This will allow you to know him better and discover personal story -not a happy one- and develop a romantic relationship with him. Ryou is the only guardian who is not available to choose from the beginning, you will need to finish the story once to have relationate with him.
If you don't mind getting the good or bad end with the character you choose, you will realize that nothing is what it seems, and that there is a cruel truth behind everything. Hiiro no Kakera is one of those games which really catch the player into the story with it's interesting storyline and numerous endings.
