"It's good to see you again," she says, her voice low and shaky.

Edward looks up from his spot on the couch, not quite able to see who it is until Riza backs up. He gets to his feet, clenching his fists.

Innit almost pathetic the way her face lights up at that smile, and the way she almost starts crying right then and there? :D

She didn't know why he was there or how he got there... Apparently the Invocation field was active recently. She doesn't take her eyes off him, at an utter loss what to do or say, going for the first thing that came to mind. "I'm sorry."

Edward snaps a look at Riza, an unsurprised sort of angry shock (only someone like him could manage such a completely contradictional expression).

Don't get angry at her just yet.

Get angry at the one that left her.

He looks back at Roy. "What are you doing here?"

*he stops. He doesn't look at Edward. His mind screams, screams over and over... to kill him. To attack him. To rend the flesh from his bones. But he doesn't.*

"Make things right." His tone is flat. "What, you mean after you abandoned her? You think you still have that right after that kind of betrayal?" He doesn't look away from Roy as he speaks to Riza. "Riza, there's other choices, you know that."
