Buying a Home - Travails
We began to really look for houses this February. Our lease was up for the little apartment we are renting in southwest Houston, and we were longing for a bigger space for Rose to walk around and to store the rest of our items which currently reside in boxes on the balcony or stuffed inaccessibly into closets.
I immediately starting compiling financial documents, and we began to look at what we could afford. We are also discussing ideas for what we want in a home. We'd really like to buy a long term home in a safe neighborhood with a lot of diversity.
Damien is cautious and slow moving when making big decisions; I am almost reckless.
After having a few homes slip through our fingers because we didn't immediately offer, I am determined this time to actually jump on a house, and offer at or over asking price for it.
