I told my parents what happened in Vegas. Let's just say that they're not helping with anything. Which is fine because I wasn't even going to tell them anything but they just so happened to answer my cell phone today while I was out.
Someone call me? I need to get out. Manny, we haven't talked in ages, where ya been?

Emma walked in to her house, flipping through the mail. She hung up her bag and put the mail on the small table in the hall. She walked to the kitchen, “Anyone home?” She got to the kitchen, both parents sitting at the table. She laughed to herself, “OK, total deja vu. What’s going on?” She asked, sitting down across from her mother.
“You left your cell phone on the counter earlier.” Spike said.
“Uh, should I apologize?” Emma asked.
Snake sighed, “No, but could you tell us why a divorce lawyer would be calling you?”
“Shit,” Emma whispered, putting a hand over her mouth.
Spike looked at her daughter, trying to stay calm, “Watch your language Em. Now, please, tell us why a Mr. Crawford would be calling you to discuss a divorce.”
Emma sighed, “Well, you see...It’s kind of a funny story. You might not think so right away, but in the end, it kind of is.” She took a deep breath and reached in to her pocket, pulling out a white gold wedding band. She put it down on the table, “I got married, in Vegas.”
Both Snake and Spike’s faces dropped. Snake looked at the ring and then at Emma, “Married? To who?”
She bit her lip and looked away, “Jay Hogart.” She whispered.
“Excuse me? I don’t think I heard you right. It sounded like you said Jay Hogart!” Snake screamed.
“Archie, please calm down.” She sighed and looked at Emma, “Why can’t you get it annulled? I’m sure a judge would let you once he sees how young you both are.”
“That’s what I figured we could do. I mean, it was a spur of the moment thing, that neither of us remember, but we had sex, after we got married. Which like sealed the married or whatever.”
Snake glared at Emma, “Congratulations Emma. I think you’ll be the first divorced senior to enter Degrassi.”
Emma laughed, “I’m not going to stay married to him. I mean, he doesn’t want to be married and honestly, I don’t either.”
Spike shook her head, “Then why get married in the first place?”
Emma shrugged, “We were bored, I guess. We did like every shot imaginable at just about every club in Vegas. We needed something new to do. So, we went to a chapel and viola. Now, I’m looking at divorce lawyers who will get this over with so Jay and I can get on with our lives. I wasn’t going to bother either of you with this. I wanted to take care of it. It’s our mess, not yours. Are you both mad at the fact that I can handle this on my own? Finally seeing that I’m not 13 any more?”
Snake stood up, “Fine, you want to handle this, then handle it. Don’t ask for our help. If we have to sign anything, fine.”
Emma laughed, “There isn’t a we, Snake. Mom is the only one who can sign anything that doesn’t involve school.”
Spike stood up next to Snake, putting a hand on his arm, “Fine, if you need me to sign anything, I will, but once this is all over, you are not allowed to see Jay again.”
Emma rolled her eyes, “What am I 5? Really, Mom, come on. I’ll see whoever I want to see and I’ll do whatever I want to do. I’m going to be 18. You’re gonna have to deal with that eventually. Now, I’m going to my room. Thanks for the concern.” She got up and picked up her cell phone and walked down to the basement.
