so this is what love feels like
once upon a time, there was a little boy who was very interested in girls. but after a while, after dating a few, he decided that while it was fun to see them, emotions could be dangerous and hurtful, moreso than any gun or knife, and made himself many promises. for years now, he's kept those promises and stayed away from becoming too emotionally involved in anyone. he also trusted noone but himself with his emotions.. the one person who could never walk away from him. and while he thought he might be missing out on certain things, he was young, and there was plenty of time for everything.
Then, one summer, a different kind of girl came along. this girl.. she wasent like all the other girls the little boy knew, there was something special about her. and while it started off casually, the more he got to knew her, the more he found he enjoyed her company, and eventually grew to love her. he even got scared and ran away a few times, because he was starting to break rules that he'd never broken before.. but in the end, he realized that his love for her was more important to him than any rules. And as time went by, they continued to closer until she was the world to him.
But like all good things, this was not meant to last forever for the boy. There eventually came a time where the girl had to leave the boy, and go far away. And as she went, the boy got all choked up and didn't know what to do. Even though he knew she loved him, he was scared that their distance would change whatever magical thing they had.. and he never wanted that to change. he loved her, he loved what they had, and he didnt want that to go away just like she had.
As he tearfully crawled into his bed that night after watching her leave, he thought to himself, and he realized if only he had followed his rules, his heart would not be torn up like it was at the moment. he could of been safe and happy. but as he continued to think about it, he realized that for once in his life whatever pain and emptiness he felt was worth what it meant. The love he shared with this girl was worth whatever it took.. no matter what whatever was. And although the thought of living in love with a memory while she was gone was scary as hell.. for the first time in his life, it felt worth it. he felt like a better person because he was with her, and he couldnt imagine life without her. He knew that as long as they both had faith in their relationship and their love remained strong, no distance could change what they had, and maybe they could hope for that storybook ending.
For the right reasons, all rules can be broken. You are the right reason. I love you, and i miss you already. i hope your thinking about me as much as im thinking about you.
