Ok so an update, I am going to try and update at least once a month.
First of all I went back to elon for the first week of January and had a great time. I spent just about the entire week with Stephen. We went out to dinner at least three times as well as we went to see the chronicles of Narnia and King Kong. Both were great. After seeing Narnia, I went out and bought the soundtrack. King Kong was really well done, but for a three and a half hour long movie you really do have to have an intermission. While I was back at elon, I also met with most of my professors and got some things taken care of. I still have two incompletes for last semester, but they should be dealt with the first week of February. I also went and dropped my winter term course which was easier than I thought it would be.
While I was back as well, Ellen had moved out and Maggie moved in. I love living with Maggie, and the cat is great, he mainly takes care of himself and doesn’t bother us to much except when he wants some attention, but then he only rubs up against our legs and meows. We went and bought a new toaster as well as new end tables and a coffee table which look great. It will be complete when I can get up to DC because my brother is going to give us his old 32 inch tube TV. It’s been great.
But anyway, I have been back in jersey for a little over a week now and IM BORED. The only time I have been out of the house is to run errands with my dad or gone to see my mom. I have played DDR a few times but I just don’t have any drive to do it more often. However I have become addicted to We love katamari. It is such a great game. But other than that I haven’t been doing anything.
An update on my mom. She is doing much much better. Last Thursday she was finally moved from the university medical center at Princeton to a rehab center a lot closer to home. It took us an hour and a half to get to Princeton and it takes us less than ten minutes to get to the rehab center in cedar grove. Health wise she has fully recovered, however she still is going to need months of physical therapy. She has said that we are going to consult a lawyer soon and I hope that it is sooner than later because none of this would have happened if the doctor hadn't nicked her spleen, couldn't repair it, have to remove it and then give her blood that was infected with a virus that fatally affects people without spleens, and then not determine what was causing 104 spiking fevers for three and a half weeks until her lungs and kidneys failed and she almost died. Ok rant over. So she has been in the rehab center since Thursday night but today was her first real day of physical therapy and I was there for 4 hours of it, needless to say she was exhausted but she can do a lot more than she used to even if she cant sit up on her own or even move her legs. It will take a while but she will fully recover eventually.
That’s about it for now. I miss Stephen and I am envious of jess and Wendy who get to spend their time with him and have fun. I miss my friends and basically I have things to do here but for the most part I'm BORED. Love to everyone, and I actually found a ride back to my apt from the airport more than a day in advance (thanks so much jess). Toodles everyone
