Hello, My name is Stephen and this is my first time posting in the community. I'm an Environmental Engineer at Manhattan College and an active member of NYWEA (New York Water Environment Association).
We've been given the opportunity to have several nights each semester for guest speakers to come to the school. In the past we've had people such as the deputy commissioner of the DEP, Alumni of the school who've gone o to work for consulting firms like Malcolm Pirnie and Hazen and Sawyer, and even lawyers who specialize in environmental issues.
My question to the community is this: Do you know of anyone else who would make a good speaker? We're looking for people from the New York City area who aren't too expensive. Anything to do with Green Construction, Alternative energy, or even just recycling on a small scale is fine.
If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Also, if you are from the Bronx or surrounding area most of these events are open to the public so you should check them out. Thanks!
