Today is my last day working hotel-side of the resort before going mountain-side to ski patrol, where we start (re)training tomorrow. I already did my last day waitressing, so I am getting rid of 2 jobs and only taking one. As such, I am wearing my bright pink long underwear and a sparkly scrunchy, which is just about as celebratory as my uniform can get.
Everyone keeps ma'am-ing me. I keep greeting people and they're all like "what ma'am?" "I'm well, ma'am", "thank you, ma'am". This is not usual, even in my security uniform.
It's a little disconcerting.
