III. The Third Day

[Kyrie has been outside. But if you see her outside (or rather, if you dare to come out) you will see her holding a shotgun, firmly gripped in her hands. As if she had used it before, countless times. She knows the dangers of the post office, but frankly a gun is going to be more useful than anything else right now. Nothing seems to be missing from ( Read more... )

Che- Ah, alright. Got it, Kyrie oba-san. I'll stay inside until those hazmat guys leave.

Good. I know it's difficult Jessica-chan, but I just want you to stay safe.

Oh, no, I understand, oba-san. I just- ... I don't like this, not being able to do anything but sit and wait for this to be over.

I know. It's a horrible feeling. But don't lose hope or give up. These men in the hazmat suits don't bother you as long as you don't try to confront them. If you must attack then only do it if they come after you first.

Give up? No way, not me! I don't know the meaning of that word! In my dictionary, it's a word that doesn't even exist!

You talk just like your mother does when you say that. A bit more roughly, but that's alright.

If you need anything don't hesitate to call me though.

Why does everybody say I'm like Mom? I don't get it! I don't see how we're similar at all!

All children have some qualities from their parents. You have your mother's fortitude and your father's strength. Don't be ashamed of it.

[That dere blush. Too bad Kyrie can't see it.]

Keep strong Jessica. In times like these hope is the most important thing.

In any other situation, I'd be telling you that you sound corny, but you're totally right. As long as we have that, we'll make it through this no matter what.

Oh, by the way, I've heard some information about how to deal with the hazmat guys, did anyone else tell you yet?

Ahh, do I? Sorry about that.

A way to deal with them. I don't remember hearing anything about that. [But then again, she feels her entire memory is a bit fuzzy.]

Alright, so basically, it's like this. First off, you need to know that there's nothing underneath the suits if you fight them. Blunt force won't do anything and they won't react to getting hit. What you need to do to break through. Stabbing, piercing or shooting works. When the suit is opened, they release a lot of poison gas that can kill you if you're too close. If you touch them or if you inhale any of it, the chemicals will burn you badly. Some people died from the gas alone. The best thing to do if they're chasing you is to run. They're not too fast. And they won't touch you as long as you don't do anything to annoy 'em.

[Shooting]

Looks like this gun might be more useful than I thought [The murmur isn't very loud, but if Jessica listens close enough she should be able to hear it.]

Informative. Thank you for catching me up, Jessica-chan.
