Art News:
The past couple of days have been spent running around being social and helping friends with various home projects. So I haven't had a chance to scan recent doodles.
I'm still working on a Secret Project, and cheekitty.com has been getting a complete overhaul behind the scenes. As soon as I can learn/figure out how to make the new site look pretty, it'll go live. Roho has been invaluable in helping me get this together, I couldn't have done it without him. :)
I shall hopefully have new art soon to share with people.
Current Projects:
I'm getting ready for school to start on Tuesday. My class schedule thusfar is just on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I don't know my new work schedule yet. We have several house projects in the queue, I'd like to dejunk from top to bottom, and find permanent storage solutions for the things we keep. That'll be interesting.
Today, we're going to take the dog for a visit with friends, possibly get lunch out, then come back and recover a bit, I think.
Nifty things:
Irish Oatmeal in 10 minutes -- We love oatmeal in our house, and we have two recipes that we use. One is Alton Brown's overnight oatmeal and the other is a recipe from Cooking Light that takes about an hour. I think this recipe is good if you don't have a crock pot, but if you do.... just do Alton's version. >.> (recipe courtesy of haikujaguar)
Move over, Swiss Miss! -- I wish I remembered who told me that this particular product was bliss in a mug, but I have it on good authority that this is the instant cocoa to purchase. And as we transition into autumn, the idea of a steaming cup of cocoa on a chilly morning sounds divine. :)
