Loves ... ...

i) I love movies: I love the encapsulated existence of a single story. Even if this story is interwoven into another, or multiple layers. I also like the ritual of going to the movies. In groups, alone, which I have done many a time, and even recreated with headphones and a dark room on a perfectly sized Mac desktop computer, most effective in boyfriends room, on Holland Dr or in Victoria on Edinburgh Road (love that that was the name). I love buying movies, owning the story. I also love being obsessed by something I don't own, and then thinking about it, thinking about it and then seeing for a great price and bing! purchased. I really don't like Netflicks because you can't own anything, there is no tangibility. You can't lend or borrow. I do like that it gives "you might like" recommendations, and exposes people to other films or avenues one might not think to explore if not otherwise prompted.

ii) I love Reading: I like the cover to cover feel of accomplishing something and a type of finite. I like at the end of a book how you get closer and closer to the end and all you want to do is rush to finish but have to pace yourself as to not miss anything. I like that I get to construct the character and decide what they look like, even if the author is super precise, it will be different to each reader. I like reading what other people have wrote and what I have written, especially if it's been awhile. It's nice to take a break and reflect. I love searching through a bookstore and finding that one story you want to bestow your valuable time on. I like the tactile feel of books, bindings and pages. Licking the tip of your finger to turn the page. Anticipation of the numbers in the top corners getting higher and higher. And stacking and owning shelves for your books, they get their own houses.

iii) Ice cream: I really do. In my adult sensibility I love this cold dairy treat. I love the chocolate variety or the vanilla with stuff in it. I love the spooning it out, eating it from a cone, from the container, it is always enjoyable. I like bundling up in the winter, sweater, blanket, slippers, maybe even a tuque, and eat a ridiculous amount of ice cream in a huge bowl. Tiny spoon is key. I remember always stirring it up to make ice cream soup, and then having it with a coke making the chocolate taste so weird. it is a fabulous food.

iv) Cake: "I'm just one of those people who love a bit of cake" OH MAN I LOVE THE CAKE. CAKE! (Little Britain) I love making it, licking beaters, cupcakes count too, sprinkles, icing, liners, running around like a chicken with no head to find ingredients and buying box of pre-fab mixes. I love cake. I love having a birthday and having cake ready for my friends and I love how if you ice a cake too soon the icing melts perfectly and goopy and grossly.

v) I love turtles: This is my favourite animal. I did a Tarot of sorts reading a long long time ago, and found that this animal is my Ka'bong- sort of a guardian. I have an affinity for them, find them beautiful, think it would be neat to carry my house with me, love the little ones at the pet stores and love watching big ones in the zoo.

vi) I love Dinosaurs: I love the roar-iness, the bigness, the lizard/amphibian, cold/hot blooded debates, and Dr. Grant. I love my son's godmother who is going to a palaeontologist. I really just have this love for them, everything about them is neat. I have always loved them, from when I was little to now. I saw them with my dad at the Nature museum in Ottawa, and always insist on seeing them in foreign countries. The Natural History museum in London, with Myth and K, and then at les Jardin, oops forgot name, in Paris. Love Dinosaurs.

vii) I love Reality tv: can't help it. It is what it is.

viii) I love bebe

ix) and I love my Babe.
