Oh, darlings, I miss him. It seems foolish to attempt to use words to describe it. It is so intrinsic, and so primal...some part of my being is not with me. We will be together again, not soon enough, but soon. In the meantime, to fill up my lonely moments, I am going over photos. I have so much beauty to share with you, my dears!
Following are images from our trip through the West Highlands, on the way to the Isle of Skye. The photos will take several posts as, to be honest, there are a lot of them!
Unfortunately, this was the only one we were able to get of Loch Lomond...we were on the wrong side of the bus! But, this was my first taste of what the entire day was to be like...
A very spiffy rock we happened to espy, which looks to have a window.
I leave this one in, simply because if gives a great idea of the panorama we experienced...and some impression of scale!
This is one of my favourites of this set. Although I adore them all.
One of our best shots of Buachaille Etive Mor, at the head of Glencoe pass.
Glencoe.
Glencoe.
And, Glencoe. To have had my love compare me in beauty to such as this...I am overcome.
Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the British Isles. An amusing photo due to the sign on the window...'please fasten your seat belt on your ascent of Ben Nevis!' *giggle*
The purpose of this shot really, is to show that people live there. People. Live. There. I cannot imagine how they get anything done...it seems that I would gawk at each window that I passed! ^^
A shot of Eilan Donan, apparently one of the most photographed sites in all Scotland ^^
And another.
Thus ends the trip through the West Highlands. Coming soon will be the photos from Skye, including Dun Vegan, and views of the outer Hebrides. I cannot even begin to describe how this affected me. I was in raptures the entire time. I stared open-mouthed out the window. I pawed at the landscape like a feline. There were tears in my eyes nearly the entire time...
*sigh*
So, dead from the pretty yet? I should warn you, these are not what I consider to be the most beautiful of the trip. Be warned. *smile*
More soon...
