Once I had the idea for the theme, it was pretty easy to pick them out. :)

I think the idea stemmed from a comment I made a while back while discussing S1 of Dollhouse.

A lot of bitchy critics were saying how Topher (& Andrew & similar characters) were Joss' version of a Gary Stu character. But, to me, if you can't see the Jossness of characters like Giles & Boyd, you're missing the point.
