It took nearly an extra week after activation of our line for Verizon to get our DSL working. But, finally they did. The techs correctly connected the line at the street and we now have service at least. The damn software gets stuck 'searching for and downloading updates' though. Fun. I meant to call customer service about it today while i was off, but i didn't get around to it. At least we can access everything with the wireless. From what I remember it wasn't this difficult to install the dsl at my folks' house a few years back. I did request os x compatible software too, so that shouldn't be a problem... According to the sleeve of the install disc its compatible with 9.2.2 and up mac os, which explains why the imacs eschewed it being 9.0 and 9.2 respectively, but it got nowhere with the install on 10.5.3 even when i left it installing when i went to work and went food shopping on my way home. Urk.

dsl, verizon, mac
