I tried to get a functional link but this damned thing won´t cooperate.
Well, the book is "Kubula and Kuba Kubikula" by Vladislav Vančura and the creature is a kind "bear monster" called Barbucha. Lovely, isn´t it? *Grins* (ch like Scottish!)

Yes but the film doesn´t use those lovely pictures. If you like Barbucha and the artist, I must tell you that Zdeněk Miller is a "daddy" of our beloved "Little Mole":

Aw, the mole is cute. And I like the way Zdeněk Miller draws stylized plants- it's like Art Deco, IMO.
