My family went to the beach today, which was nice.
WindMill restaurant (Semi-fast food semi-chain with 8 locations in New Jersey, one being right outside of Seven Presidents Park in Long Branch) has REALLY good food and is pretty cheap.
I decided not to put sunscreen on my back since I figured I'd probably just be sitting in the chair reading. This turned out to be the case. I didn't think to put it on my feet and now have TeVa burn. :(
On the way back, we stopped at
Brewer's Apprentice to buy a beer ingredient kit for my next batch of homebrew, they were unfortunately closed. They were supposed to be open. :( I will either have to make a seperate trip all the way down to Freehold, or mail-order ingredients from somewhere. I'm somewhat nervous about doing that because I don't want the yeast to die. (Brewapp refuses to ship anything without using overnight shipping for this reason, even to locations in NJ where ground shipping WOULD be overnight. Most other brewing supply places don't seem to care as much, which worries me.)
Have a leftover Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic cooling down in the freezer. I wanted to have something from my Bar Harbor trip, but all of that is naturally carbonated and hence I can't put the bottles on their sides without kicking the yeast up, so that goes in the fridge for later consumption.
