I am amazed how trusting some people are on the internet. For example, read their privacy statement and think about how silly it is: "HumanForSale has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy." No!!!! Silly people, just because you put up some web text about Privacy doesn't demonstrate your commitment to privacy!!!!

It fundamentally comes down to trust, right? Do you trust their site/organization to hold your info in perpetuity? I have 100% more faith/trust in someone like Microsoft, or some other large entity to respect my PII or other sensitive info over some fly-by-night two-guys-in-garage site like this. Yes, they do provide the claimed ability for users to delete their info from their databases... though, I repeat "claimed."

One of the many Privacy issues that exist around this is the selling of your info to other parties... what happens to your info when someone buys these guys (and their databases) as another flash-in-the-pan social-networking-crap .com?

I won't issue a full fatwa on this today, as I'm sitting in a meeting right now, but I'll say that all of us should think REALLY hard before filling out a form on some random site with information that is a) sensitive b) potentially embarrassing... As your fingers hover over the keyboard, ask yourself whether you'd mind if your friends, parents, or the whole world reads what you're about to type. Proceed accordingly.
