Radiohead, Thunderbird Stadium 2008

Radiohead was amazing;

.......the crowd was not so much.

It's really unfortunate that so many people were shoving and being general douchebags up at the front that Thom Yorke actually has to tell everyone to calm the fuck down.

Girls were getting so crushed that they had to be lifted out of what should have been the best spots in the staduim.

How is it fair that not only are you small and can't see over the guy in front of you, the enourmous guy a couple people behind you (Although he can see clearly over your head) thinks he should be in your spot and basically crushes your ribs until you have to physically leave or pass out?
I felt terrible for Richa in particular- she had it really bad being so tiny.

People waited 4+ hours to be there, and large 200 pound dudes wearing dog collars who seem to want to mosh (wtf?) have no more right to be there then the 5 foot nothing girls that were getting injured as a result of the incessant shoving, and the general crush of people pushing the front until no one could breathe. It's just not the selfish, mean vibe you need while listening to Faust Arp.

I expected more from Vancouver, especially considering the last concert Radiohead played here, which probably had the best general vibe of any concert I've been to ever. And it's too bad because the people immediately around where we were were totally friendly and awesome people... it was just a couple people a couple meters back starting a domino effect.

The music however, was AMAZING. Did i mention that? oh dear god seriously.

And despite the people of vancouver letting me down a bit, I still had a sweet time. All in all a pretty sweet end to my vacation.

Highlight: You and whose army?
