(no subject)
Lightning killed the internet.
We had a rather brief, but powerful thunderstorm on Saturday. The kind with huge, icy cold raindrops that make you dance (I was outside when it began), and lots of flashes of lightning with out much time in between, followed by huge claps of thunder. Lightning struck near our house twice, and the second time there was delightful popping noise and our power flashed out for a few seconds. Later, when I tried to use the internet I discovered that our satellite modem was no longer functioning. It may not be fixed until next week. The pain! It'll be good for me though.
Now I must bake bread to entertain myself. However, I've been wanting to spend a few weeks going through the mountains of cookbooks at my house, so now I should have plenty of time to do so.
