I seem to have graduated. Awesome.

It is currently 4:17AM on Sunday morning, and I have just woken after a mighty post-graduation and post-celebration slumber on Friday night.

Graduation ceremony was ace. Steeve reports that I looked 'terrified' as I walked across the stage to pick up my certificate (indeed, I was nervous to the extent that I thought I was going to throw up).

Famous cricketer Imran Kahn is an associate of the University, and shook our hands on stage. Apparently Terry Pratchett was there the day before, much to the disappointment of Pratchett-loving friend Dave.

Sorry this post is kinda incoherent. I'm half awake and still recovering from the celebrations on Friday (and the sleep-deprivation on Thursday).

Femi The Housemate didn't come to the graduation, much to my surprise. I haven't seen him at the house for months, either.. I hope everything's OK with him.

Got my award for 'best computing project'. I was expecting a certificate and a shake of the hand, but I actually got a not-inconsiderably-sized shield and a cheque for £150, which was really nice. Much fuss was made over me (and the winners of other awards) by the academics, photographer, and parent. Was good.

Mum got a load of pictures, which I will be uploading for your amusement. (shit, I gotta work out how to transplant my Gallery2 install to another machine). Matthew came in his suit and looked most smart (prompting the wonderful comment from Dave - 'Why does your brother look.. so.. doomy?').

The ceremony was quite different from Matthew's, which was on Wednesday. Most notably, each graduand was applauded individually, which I preferred.

Most of the lecturers I wanted to thank weren't about, mainly since my course comprises of lectures from so many different departments. I _did_ get to thank Peter Cowling, the AI dude, in person, and since he seemed quite surprised and taken aback by my gratitude, it seems he realised how sincere I was being.

After the ceremony, I ate food with mum and Matthew for a bit, then they went off for the drive back to their place. Steve and Rose came to mine, with Steve's parents and a dude I forget the name of, and we ate the gateau I bought in celebration, before we shedded Steve's parents and went to some rock bar, where there was slight drama as some girl stole my drink. After the pub kicked out, I carried Dave around (since he had lost the ability to walk) and he insisted we go to the gasworks, a local rock club. We did, where Dave was promptly denied entry by the bouncers for being so off his face, so we bundled him in a cab and the remaining - me, Steve, and Rose - went back to mine to drink and chill.

TBH, I wasn't really in the mood for drinking (growing up, what?) so I just sipped the Jager and relaxed as the other two sipped their drinks and, er, relaxed. Had a pretty fun night with them.

And then I slept, and slept, and slept. And slept and slept. Off to the dole office on Monday, mums house on Tuesday, and that's the extent of my planning.
