Yesterday's Today recommended eating food high in magnesium during stressful periods. 
It is said to be a relaxant mineral which the body consumes a great amount during such times.
So the relaxation effect will limit the body's craving for high sugar food and carbohydrates
Such a craving arises because such food assists the body to better process tryptophan to increase serotonin levels
And this craving becomes undesirable when it leads to unhealthy snacking (e.g. eat too much sugary food)
So, go for green vegetables and wholegrains
For the magnesium for stress-relieve
Before the craving shoots up!
