I suck at doing memes in a timely manner. ^^;;

1. Name all the places you've lived.
It's a short list - my family only moved once while I was growing up, and that was just twenty minutes away. I lived in the Metro Detroit area through high school; in Tempe, Arizona last school year when I went to Arizona State; and right now I'm living about as far north as you can get in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, going to Michigan Tech.

2. Any hidden talents we should know about?
Nothing useful, I'm sorry to say. I have an annoying knack for remembering far too many details about whatever TV show I'm really into at the moment, but I'm not sure how much of that is a talent and how much is my obsessive personality. And I used to be able to swim a mile in less than 20 minutes.

3. You just won $1,000,000. Where does the money go?
The only big purchase I'd like to make is a new computer; the rest would go in a bank account to accumulate interest and slowly be whittled away by purchases of CDs, DVDs, and computer games.

4. Have a particular academic pursuit that you absolutely love? Sport? Subject? Club? whathaveyou....
I enjoy learning foreign languages, and was even considering going into linguistics... then I realized how many English courses that would require. While I enjoy writing and analyzing stuff on my own, I am horrible at doing it on a deadline.

5. Anything exciting happen to you in the last week?
I got into the Lord of the Rings Online beta. AND! elves can only have brown hair, like in the books! I squealed for joy when I saw that. Considering that Tolkien made a point of mentioning blond hair and Galadriel's name is an elegant way of saying "Blondie", blond hair was probably far less common than brown. And yes, my life is so unexciting that that was cause for exclamation points.

So, thanks to David Tennant, my idle curiousity, and my excess of free time I downloaded some Pet Shop Boys a few days ago, and, uh... I think I'm in love. Creepy, obsessive love. ^^;; I'm currently trying to whittle their discography down to about five CDs to buy, because I am ohsovery broke. While I've been able to download most of their albums to try out, I haven't been able to find Nightlife (1999) or Release (2002). Most of y'all probably have better taste in music than I do, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone could help me out. So, uh, anyone got 'em? While their official site is awesome and has pretty much every song they've ever done available to listen to, my computer has problems buffering the mp3s.

meme, music, pet shop boys
