The Battle Royale DVD I ordered came today. Glee! ^___^ It looks like they actually sent what they advertised, too; the computer says it's region 0 and NTSC, but I still want to make sure it'll play on our POS five-year-old DVD player. 'Cause I'm paranoid like that, yo.
I borrowed Neverwhere and American Gods by Neil Gaiman from MiddleSister, and ohmygodIamsoinlovewithhim. Gaiman just does such a wonderful job joining the fantastical world with what we perceive to be the real world, and he creates the most fabulous characters - not to mention how wonderful and almost poetic his style of writing is. *happy sigh* I was almost kinda sad that I spent my Borders gift certificates on the Jason X DVD on Saturday instead of buying my own copy of American Gods. Then I remembered Lexa Doig running around in her red tank-top and tight pants. Hubbahubba - there is absolutely no way to go wrong with that. ^_^
Have I mentioned lately just how much Chiasm is my hero? 'Cause I found some of her older tracks on LimeWire, and they kick total ass. I so can't wait until her new album comes out in April. *poings with impatience*
