{ OOC } J's Playlist

Mar 05, 2009 07:37

All the cool kids are doing this music meme thing so I figured why not. The more I started thinking about what tracks the Joker would have on his "playlist", the less I could resist. It's a mindtrap!
(WARNING:  Some tracks may contain offensive lyrics.)

The MEME:: List 9-12 tracks that would be on the Party Shuffle of your favorite character(s)'s mp3 player. These have to be songs that the CHARACTER would like, not songs you associate with them, unless the two coincide. Give a short explanation for each track.

Of course, I'll have to ask you to suspend your beliefs about whether or not the Joker would even OWN an mp3 player, let alone have a playlist. But if he did have one, it might look something like this:

Helter Skelter - The Beatles.....(His #1 fav. for obvious reasons-he loves creating helter skelter wherever he goes. This song has an uncanny ability to attract psychopaths for some reason.)
I Hold Your Hand In Mine - Tom Lehrer.....(He likes anything by Tom Lehrer, really. He enjoys the lyrics and probably sings them while sitting in his padded cell in Arkham. They don't sound at all like they were written in the 50's.)
Beautiful Music For You To Die To - Necro.....(It lifts his spirits.)
Morning Train (Nine to Five) - Sheena Easton....(It reminds him of the time when he blew up a subway station in Gotham. He was humming this little tune while cheerfully stroking the detonator.)
Mr. Self Destruct - Nine Inch Nails....(Good track to rage to. He loves to rage.)
Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar) - The Doors....(Brings fond memories of burying people alive. ;D That and he tends to like weird 60's stuff; just look at the way he dresses.)
Can't Take My Eyes Off of You - Frankie Valli....(He believes this track goes well with mass hysteria and explosives.)
Fire Engine - Revolting Cocks.....(Reminds him of that night when he stole a fire engine and lit it on fire.)
Juke-Joint Jezebel - KMFDM..........(He just likes it. Does he really need a reason?)
The Future - Snog......(It "speaks" to him. All I can say.)
Singin' In the Rain - Gene Kelly........(I don't need to link that one, do I? It was "in mind" while he stood before the bathroom mirror carving his face with a straight razor. Good times.)

Note: If the links are no longer working you can most likely still find these tracks floating around on youtube, imeem*, or probably just Google.

*EDIT: Unfortunately, imeem is no longer available but you may be able to find some of these tracks on Playlist.com.

lulz, nothing to do with anything, it's a meme, *ooc
