Adult eggnog, you are George's only true friend.]

[What about your best friend in the whole world, Queen Alice? It's okay; don't feel bad. She's here for you now. She tilts her head.]

How curious. You seem...almost sad maybe. Is it because of the party?

[Oh God, this girl and her no eyes. Nngh.

This calls for more eggnog]

It's been...a rough week.

[Say hello to Rei, George. Somehow, she's managed to look like she wandered into this party totally by accident, and still doesn't seem to be aware that it's some kind of social function.

She looks at your adult egg nog with vague curiosity.]

[George looks up and gives half a smile.]

Want some?

[second_first]

...Okay.

[akapeanut]

[George gets her a glass and slides it over.]

Take it easy, though. It's alcoholic.

[Rei eyeballs the glass, then picks it up and takes a drink. And then another. And then she sets the glass down and her cheeks are already pink.]

Good?

...It made me warm. [She pushes it back to George.]

That's about right.

[She gestures at the glass.] You can have some more, actually. You'd be funny drunk, I bet.

[She takes a swig herself.]

[....Rei is...hesitant.

But after a moment, she takes another drink.

And then hiccups.]

[Giggle.]

You're such a lightweight.

I'm fourteen.

[George shrugs.]

[She'll feel crazy bad about this when she's more sober. For now, she just thinks Rei's funny.]

[Rei actually scowls slightly and takes another drink, just to be stubborn. And because she's kiiiind of tipsy already.]
