Shannon enjoyed herself well enough at the last slumber party, although part of it had to be being invited. It helps that she's grown a little closer to people since then, she supposes. She doesn't feel left out because nobody invited her-- she feels like she's expected to be there.

It's a nice feeling.

Still, if the mansion separated them it was probably for a reason, so she's keeping an eye out for anybody breakin' the rules. She's set up against a wall, wearing her tasteful yukata and watching out for trespassers.

Not that she's adverse to partyin' a little, of course.

Katara shows up in a very pretty yukata, fresh from the hot springs. She enjoyed herself very much, practicing her Waterbending and just soaking in the warm water.

Now she's refreshed and ready for this little gathering. She doesn't show it, but she's a little nervous, since she doesn't know a lot of people in the mansion other than her brother, Zuko, and two or three others.

But this is a good opportunity to change that, so she takes a breath and walks into the room. "Hello?"

Beiste gives the girl a wave and gestures for her to come in. "Hey there. Welcome to the shindig."

She doesn't remember this girl's name, though she's seen her around. She's hard to miss, being just about the only non-white-or-Japanese chick in the place.

"That, uh, dress thingy suits you." She glances down at her own, still not sure if she was wearing hers right.

Katara returns the wave with a smile. "Um, hi. This place sure looks nice."

She comes in and takes in everything inside the room. "Who did the decorating? And oh, um, thanks! I like yours too. Everyone looks so nice, and I'm really enjoying the hot springs."

"Dunno." Beiste looked around. She'd assumed it'd been the troll girls, but she couldn't be sure.

"I haven't had a chance to try the springs yet, myself. Been too busy keeping the girls and boys separate." She gives a weary laugh. "Oh well."

"What's your name?"

"It looks nice anyway," she says with a smile. The whole mansion looks nice, actually. She almost wishes it would stay that way.

"I think you'd like them, if you're looking for a good place to relax." And from the sound of things, relaxation is something Beiste could use.

"I"m Katara."

"I'll have to give 'em a try." Beiste smiles back. "Name's Shannon Beiste. You doin' okay here?"

It's a different name, and one that Katara's not used to hearing. None of the names of the people in the Water Tribe sound like it, and yet she kind of likes it. "I think I'm all right. Nothing here is like home, and I miss my friends, but my brother is here."

She's very glad Sokka's with her, that she's not alone.

She nods, though she's surprised. There aren't many family members in Wonderland. Other than that Dave kid and his brother, she can't think of any others.

"Is he the one with all the sheep?" At this point she's willing to give anybody the benefit of a doubt. So even with the odd first impressions she's had of the kid, she doesn't think he's all that bad. Not yet anyway.

Oh, it's that chick whose friend Terezi killed. Welp. Terezi attempted to wear three (very colorful) Yukatas at the same time and failed miserably with each of them, so instead she's sprawled across the table, eating sweets she's bought. They are delicious. But you know what else is delicious? Nervousness. And Terezi can smell it from a mile away.

"Welcome to my lair, girly girl! You must pay me tribute!"

Oh, um, it's that really scary someone who attacked her and killed Zuko. This isn't awkward at all. She knows that everyone went back to normal after that event, but that doesn't mean she's entirely comfortable around her. Even if she looks strange in her three yukatas, she doesn't look terribly dangerous, sprawled across the table.

But still, she thinks it's better to be cautious, so she edges nervously towards her. "Hello... Um, what do you mean, tribute?"

Terezi holds out her hands, filled with candies.

"Feed me." She grins and tosses a few in Katara's direction.

That's just a little strange. Katara just stares at Terezi for a few seconds before sighing and catching the candies.

"I think you can feed yourself, you know," Katara says as she rolls her eyes and throws one of them at Terezi. If she wants to be fed, she has to work for it. "How good are you at catching?"

Yuu should not be here. He knows he should not be here, on this floor, at night. But he's not gate crashing, per se. He respects rules. Usually.

Nope. He does not care about the slumber party. He's just looking for Beiste.

Beiste looks up from painting her nails, surprised to see Yuu standing in the doorway. "Somethin' wrong? What're you doing up here?"

Yuu's not the type to break the rules for no reason, after all.
