Having weathered the event with her "son", Rei is glad that things have gone back to normal.

And by normal, I mean relatively quiet and calm. She's headed up to the roof with a book and pencil when she notices the needle sphere forms. She extends her AT field to keep them from encroaching on her or into her path in the hallway and glances around. Where are these coming from?

Hibari is on his way to the roof to get a birds eye view from which to menace the grounds as well and sees Rei. Out of the way.

He takes out the handcuffs from his pocket and twirl them around his fingers.

Rei spots him and looks at him quietly.

"Hibari."

The AT field stays in place. Because Hibari is unpredictable.

Hibari unleashes some handcuffs at her. Unspiked but still would not fun to have cuffed around your neck and limbs.

[second_first]

They hit the AT field and rebound off of it, making it momentarily visible at the points of impact. Rei looks down at the cuffs, then up at Hibari.

"Again?"

[hi_blog]

Hibari is thinking the same thing. Again with the AT field. Well, you can handle something more hard core then.

Hibari tosses some mini Roll's and smacks them at her with his tonfa, shooting them out hard.

These also hit the AT field and while they seem to lodge in place, they don't penetrate the shield she's created.

Since Hibari isn't answering her, Rei doesn't speak again. She just watches him quietly, trying to decide what her best course of action is.

It's to do something with that shield before-oh.. nevermind.

Little Rolls are becoming big ones.

Rei can hold them off indefinitely, but her past experience tells her that letting him do what he wants might be better. She can keep him from killing her if she has to.

She releases her AT field and steps back to keep from being skewered by the needles.

Unfortunately, most of his attacks are quite lethal. So he leaves her to deal with her cluster of growing purple spiked orbs.

She uses a trick she normally wouldn't: extending her AT field, she lifts herself into the air, over the needle sphere forms, and beyond them to a clear area in the hallway.

Hibari hears her touch down behind him and looks over his shoulder. Oh. She escaped.

He flexes his fingers on the handle of his tonfa.

Rei hugs her book to her chest and watches him.

Hibari comes back towards her. You can run or you can take a hit to the head.

She won't run, mainly because of the possibility that he'll give chase. She stands where she is and doesn't even close her eyes when he makes his move.

The strike knocks her into what's left of the wall. She gives an abortive cry and hugs her book even more tightly as she regains her feet.

It's almost no fun to beat up someone so obviously helpless.

Almost.

Hibari kicks her and slams the tonfa down on her skull.
