the Story:
Pakistan had never been as diligent about agriculture as some of her neighbors. She had in the past, when Papa had been around and under Briten's rule, but over time, it hadn't seemed as important to her as it had once.
Weeks after starting work in a small field with Afghan, though, she was starting to remember what it felt like to plant something and care for it and watch it grow. Eating her lunch under her mango tree, she looked at the growing plants and pointedly ignored the vague memories of war she had leftover from the last event.
