Who: Lily, OPEN Where: The mansion's staircase and hall. When: Victorian flashback event Rating: PG (so far) Summary: Lily believes the event is a dream and is going with it Story: ( ( All that we see or seem, is just a dream within a dream. )
James only smiled in response. Maybe when she discovered that everyone in the mansion had a similar "dream" that night, she might still remember it fondly.
Wait. Had she just...agreed? Really? James felt something flutter in his chest. He had expected her to refuse him, or insist that it was too fast, but then again, he supposed dreams could do that sort of thing.
" I am glad," he said. " And I am the most fortunate man in the world, and I have you to thank for that."
He was a little more nervous than he would ever admit, ever, but he moved toward Lily once more, and stood before her. Their new difference in height was apparent, but James did not care. He bent down gracefully to meet her face, closing the gap between them. James then gave her a gentle peck on the nose, as even without the gentleman's language he was still himself, and still a bit of a tease. He did not mean harm though. His smile was kind, and his gentle laughter was warm.
James was more serious the second time, and he leaned in carefully, bringing his lips down to hers. It was everything James had imagined a first kiss might be. Slow. Gentile. Wet. Warm. A little awkward. Something to take easy, and savor. James had fantasized about it for so long, and building up all of these expectations, and yet it went even beyond them. He had loved her so long, and he had wanted her so long, that it felt almost like falling in love a second time.
She rather thought she couldn't possibly ever forget this day, it was too good for that. Like music flowing through her head, this was something that would haunt her memories long after she woke.
"You are a master of flattery, my dear Mister Potter." She teased him as he flattered her and blushed madly with the kiss to the tip of her nose. His laughter was not unkind, but warm and friendly and made her feel less self conscious about the awkward favor he'd asked of her.
"You're making fun of me." She eyed him reproachfully about to continue when he leaned down, Lily silenced immediately. Wide green eyes blinking at him expectantly as he bent to her. His lips found hers with a gentle press. The rose petal softness of Lily's lips welcomed his, a sweetness like honey clinging to them. A warm gentle caress over his mouth, the action stealing her breath and making her knees weaken. Lily was so lost in the moment that the beginning of her knees buckling caught her by surprise, only as she tipped did she hooked her hands onto his arms, to keep herself upright.

James had no answer for Lily, as his mouth was a bit busy. Somehow, she tasted even better than he could have imagined, so very sweet. He did not buckle though, but instead remained as he was, supporting Lily so she could stand. James was certain he could have remained that way all day, kissing her and holding her up. He could have remained that way forever.
Very careful to not cause her to fall, he lifted his arms to bring them around her properly, not only to better support her, but to feel her in his arms. He wanted to support her for the rest of his life; he wanted to keep her safe, and love her like this, always. Something told him he deserved this, above all else.
He wanted a lot of things, it seemed, and yet somehow, kissing Lily satisfied his every need. It filled him with warmth, and with a greater magic than any he had ever encountered.
LOL no worries, Lily would never have noticed in her stategifted_witchOctober 29 2009, 03:01:07 UTC
She'd never noticed how strong Potter was, then again this was not the Potter she knew. It was easier to see that now in this dream, than ever. Just being near him felt well she couldn't exactly identify it. But it was like a buzzing in her head, a thousand tiny wings fluttering through her thoughts and making them fuzzy.
Arms wound around her, strong warm arms and Lily felt safe. Was it strange? She couldn't tell if it was odd or not, everything felt so right, as if this was meant to be. It was making her dizzy and heady and completely entranced by him. Even as she eased back from the kiss she was under his spell.
Lily Evans was a popular girl, pretty and well liked and she had kissed and been kissed before. No contact in her life had ever set her heart racing and stolen her breath as this moment. Regaining her feet, one hand touched delicate fingers over her lips. Wide green eyes looked up at him in wonder.
