The boy was sleeping, or trying to. He was trying to figure out how to reassure both men without making the other upset. It was a no-win situation for him and he wasn't completely sure why neither of them were able to believe his words.
At the knocking at the door he slowly stood and padded to the door, opening it a crack to peer out at Hubb. When he realized who it was he opened the door fully. "Hubb?" He questioned with a pert frown. "Is everything alright?"
Hubb was always wanted. The boy nodded and padded out the door, closing it quietly behind him. "We could go to the tea room ... on the second floor ..." He wasn't sure how far away he needed to be so that Soubi and Seimei didn't hear them talking.
"Sure." Hubb said simply, waiting unil they actually reached the tearoom before asking any more questions. It was obvious the kid had something he wanted to say, something he didn't want his boyfriend hearing. Since they were there anyway, he requested some root beer from the room, which appeared on the table.
For Ritsuka's part, he got tea, which he frowned at. It seemed as if nothing was going as it was supposed to for the boy. He'd wanted coco with marshmallows.
For a long time he just sat there, holding the mug as if he could will it onto what he wanted. Finally he broke the silence in the small room. "Seimei's here."
The boy nodded, but said no more for a very long time. "He and Soubi don't like one another." Apparently Ritsuka was going to try for the understatement of the year award.
Ritsuka knew Hubb was amazing, and smart, and kind. Ritsuka just sucked at saying things. He frowned, thinking for a long moment. "Before ... Soubi was Seimei's. Seimei did a lot of bad things to Soubi, but Seimei isn't a bad person." He didn't think he was explaining well. "Seimei's always been kind to me. Soubi's afraid I'm going to leave him though. I'm sorry." He felt horrible burdening Hubb with this.
"He's a kind person, who just happens to do horrible things to other people? Did Soubi do something to him? Is Seimei sorry for what he did?" Hubb tilted his head, listening. "And stop apologizing."
The boy shook his head. "But Seimei has always been kind to me. He'd always take care of me ..." He looked into his tea again, trying to will himself to drown in it. It wasn't working.
The boy was still frowning, even as he nodded. "Seimei is Seimei. I still love him." It was true, he really did still love his brother. Even with everything he'd done.
At the knocking at the door he slowly stood and padded to the door, opening it a crack to peer out at Hubb. When he realized who it was he opened the door fully. "Hubb?" He questioned with a pert frown. "Is everything alright?"
